UPDATE AT 6:45 P.M. (WZZM) -- Holland Police are releasing the name of a teenager arrested for the stabbing of another party guest.
Nicholas Garza, 18, appeared in court Tuesday. He was charged with "assault with intent to do great bodily harm," and a bond of $200,000 was set.
Detectives say they are still working on the case to determine what happened and if any other suspects may have been involved in the assault.
HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) - A 17-year-old Holland teen is in custody after allegedly seriously stabbing a 21-year-old man at a party.
Holland Police were called to an apartment in the 100 block of W. 13th Street early Monday morning and found the man with numerous stab wounds to his head and chest. He was taken to Holland Community Hospital and then taken to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids in serious condition.
A 20-year-old woman who lived at the apartment also had been hit in the head by the suspect.
The teen was arrested a short time later at a residence on E. 15th Street. Charges are pending from the Ottawa County Prosecutor.
Police determined that the suspect and the victims were at a party at the apartment.
