WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - Police are looking for a second suspect who's been stealing bank account information from ATMs in Wyoming and Grandville.

Dontae Collins, 22, of Illinois is already facing charges for using a device to copy personal information from Fifth Third Bank ATMs. It's called "skimming" and all it takes is one swipe of your card.

13 is on your side to help protect your money.

  • When using an ATM, cover the number pad, even if no one is around
  • Scammers can install small cameras that catch your card's numbers.
  • Keep a close eye on all of your bank statements for any unusual purchases.
  • Always be aware of your surroundings.

A red flag your account's been skimmed-- if you put your card in the machine and it's delayed or won't come out after a transaction.
