(WZZM) - The beaches along Lake Michigan are among the best in the nation, according to CNN. The Cable News Network recently listed 10 of America's Best Lake Vacations.
Lake Michigan ranked number 8. CNN says Lake Michigan has a beach for every person's taste and with 1,600 miles of shoreline, it offers more beaches than any other lake in the country.
The beaches of Lake Superior also made the list coming in number 1.
Meanwhile, West Michigan is home to one of the best yachting towns in the country. That's according to a new list by Yachting Magazine.
Muskegon ranked number 23. Critics praised Pere Marquette Park and mentioned the Muskegon's ten marinas, which feature more than 3,000 slips.
Harbor Springs, near Petoskey, came in third place, and South Haven and Traverse City also made it into the top 50.
Beaufort, North Carolina took the top spot.
