GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A Byron Center teenager who was critically injured in a Labor Day crash has died. Caitlin Hendren, 19 was removed from life support Wednesday night.
Hendren was one of five people injured when the station wagon she was riding in collided with a bread truck early in the morning at Eastern Avenue and 28th Street. Police believe the station wagon failed to stop at a flashing red light.
Officers are still trying to determine the cause of the crash, but they do not believe alcohol or speed played a role.
Memorial services for Hendren will take place Sunday, at Rush Creek Bible Church in Byron Center.
