TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - An Ottawa County man is in jail for the alleged sexual assault of his neighbor. Deputies say the 44-year-old suspect attacked his 29-year-old neighbor inside his home on Linden Drive
Police say the man tricked his neighbor into entering his house, then threatened her with a knife and held her against her will for over an hour.
"She was able to finally get free and call 911. Deputies arrived and he was located at his residents and taken into custody without any incident," says Lt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
The suspect was put on parole about six months ago for a sexual assault from 2005. He will be charged Wednesday with criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping.
