KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - The anticipation has been building for weeks.
At 8 a.m. Friday, Apple fanatics who ordered an iPhone 5 can finally pick up the new tech product at the Apple store inside the Woodland Mall and at the Verizon store next to the mall, at 2605 E. Beltline Ave SE.
Verizon Store Manager John Wolbert says the majority of pre-ordered phones will be delivered to customers Friday. He says that makes it tough to judge what the turnout will be like.
"It's hard to say because there are so many people who are pre-ordering. We've heard a lot of customers who've said they're going to come in early and they're really excited. I do expect it to be pretty busy here at the store," said Wolbert.
The iPhone starts at $199 and runs up to $399. At Verizon, they're offering gift cards if you turn in your old phone for the new one.
