OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - Oakfield Township marked the 150th anniversary of the Civil War Saturday with a memorial service at the township cemetery.

James Clifford is the youngest Civil War soldier in the cemetery. According to the township, Clifford lied about his age to enlist at the age of 16. He was captured and imprisoned as a POW in Bentonville, NC.
Oakfield officials say there are still relatives of some of the soldiers living in the township.
Saturday's service included a tour of the cemetery. If you want to visit the cemetery, it is located at Wellman Avenue and Stultz Street, just south of M57 (14 Mile Road) in north Kent County.
