WALKER, Mich. (WZZM) - Fans of the NFL can't stop talking about the controversial call between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks.

All day, people have been debating the call which was ruled a touchdown but most are frustrated by it. Just hours after it happened, fans expressed their frustration that was mixed with humor. Jokes about the referees were shared on Facebook and Twitter feeds were filled with negative comments about the controversial call.

WZZM 13's sports anchor Dan Harland, was there and watched it unfold from his seat in the endzone.

"The controversial call happened about 15 feet away from me," says Dan, who recorded the play on his iPhone. "I saw it in front of my face. I saw Jennings come down with the ball. One ref was up with a touchdown. I thought, you got to be kidding me, there's no way."

The touchdown stood. Tuesday afternoon at sports bar and grill Buffalo Wild Wings, the play was replayed several times throughout the day. Bear's fan Nathan Evans says, "I came in and saw the replay. I was shocked. It was a bad call."

Lion's fan Dan Linderman says, "Referees matter, it's important to call the game right and do things the proper way."

Others point out that the referees shouldn't be blamed. They say because of a labor dispute between the regular refs and the NFL, the replacements have been given a great opportunity.

"I think these replacement refs have been put in a no win situation," says Jody Davies, a Colts fan.

Many hope that the controversial call will lead to a resolution. Fans say they just want the rest of the season to be as fair and exciting as it should be.
