EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Witnesses told police that a Michigan State University student suffered a broken jaw at a party because he wouldn't stop harassing women.
The accounts are in a report released Thursday by East Lansing police, a few hours after a prosecutor said no charges would be filed. Zach Tennen had claimed that he was punched in the mouth at an August off-campus party because he's Jewish.
The Associated Press obtained the police report under a public records request.
Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III says there's no evidence of a hate crime. The man who slugged Tennen also won't be charged for the jaw-breaking punch.
In a letter, Tennen family lawyer Henry Scharg says police did a "full and fair" investigation. He didn't return calls seeking comment.
The police report was obtained by The Associated Press under a public records request.
