MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Investigators say a 16-year-old boy is facing burglary charges in connection with the weekend explosion of a home.
Prosecutors say the teen, whose name is not being released, was in the home on Saturday taking scrap metal from a vacant home in 1600 block of Elwood Street and cut into a natural gas line.
The house exploded around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Authorities say the home still had active utilities, including natural gas.
No one was injured, but the explosion damaged surrounding homes.
