HART, Mich. (WZZM) -- The former superintendent of Shelby Public Schools is now serving a jail sentence.
Scott Lund, 55, pleaded guilty to embezzlement by a public official in July. Lund was sentenced Monday to four months in the Oceana County jail for the felony.
A restitution hearing in November will determine how much money Lund will have to repay to the Shelby district.
The former superintendent spent $22,000 of district funds. Lund used the money to buy himself a television, exercise equipment and materials to build a deck on his home.
