GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The latest poll conducted for WZZM 13, WDIV Local 4 and the Detroit News finds that Democrat Debbie Stabenow still holds a double digit lead over Republican Pete Hoekstra in her U.S. Senate re-election bid.
The Glengariff Group survey was conducted October 6-8 and included 600 respondents, 80% of which were reached on land-line phones and 20% on cell phones.
The poll gave Stabenow a 50.1% to 37.5% lead over Hoekstra. That +12.6 margin is down slightly from the +15.9 advantage Stabenow held in September.
Stabenow also holds a +15.9 margin with women, which is virtually identical to the advantage she held in August. However, Stabenow's support among men has climbed from -1.3 in August to +4.3 in September and now +8.3 in October.
