ZEELAND, Mich. (WZZM) - A West Michigan company has signed a multi-million dollar, multi-year contract with oil giant ExxonMobil.

Zeeland-based Herman Miller will provide furniture for the oil company's new corporate campus near Houston, Texas.

ExxonMobil says the new facility will accomodate 10,000 employees. Construction began in 2011, and workers will begin moving there in early 2014.

The project was mentioned in September during Herman Miller's quarterly conference call about its financial statements.

CEO Brian Walker called the contract, "one of the largest projects in Herman Miller's history."

Marc Schurman with the furniture company says money from the contract will begin to come in next year, boosting the company's finances during 2013.

Schurman could not comment on how many jobs could be created because of this contract, but he says it does support job security because the furnture will be built in West Michigan.
