ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-- A Comstock Park woman is recovering from her injuries after losing control of her car and crashing into a building.
The accident happened on West River Drive between Lamoreaux and 4 Mile around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators say 41-year-old Deondra McElroy was heading south on West River when she hit a utility pole and a decorative pole before crashing into the building at 3934 West River Drive.
The crash brought down power lines in the area, leading to outages in the area. Power has since been restored.
McElroy suffered cuts on her face and was transported to an area hospital.
Police believe speed and alcohol played roles in the crash.
