(WZZM) -- Most people in Michigan would say the Detroit Tigers are a better baseball team than the Giants, but which is the better city? Detroit or San Francisco?
They both have bridges -- San Francisco has the Golden Gate, while Detroit has the Ambassador. Since the Ambassador Bridge connects countries, WZZM 13's Steve Zaagman says the advantage goes to Detroit.
Detroit is Motor City and San Francisco has Silicon Valley. Since Steve can't live without his car or computer, he says its a draw.
Detroit has four seasons while San Francisco doesn't get snow. The advantage goes towards Detroit until the snow shovel comes out -- then it's advantage San Francisco.
According to Steve, a house in the Northern California city is 1,299% more expensive than Detroit. This means a $100,000 house in Detroit is a whopping $1.2 million in San Francisco. This makes it a draw, because if you're buying Detroit, you are selling San Francisco.
When it comes to income, advantage goes towards Detroit again. If you make $50,000 in Detroit, you would need to make $125,315 in San Francisco because of the higher cost of living there.
Detroit had the first concrete highway, the oldest pop -- Vernors -- and Motown music. San Francisco invented denim jeans, the fortune cookie and the martini. Again, a draw, according to Steve.
Lastly, Detroit has the Tigers, Red Wings and Lions. San Francisco has the Giants, 49ers and NO hockey team. Advantage Detroit.
Reporter Steve Zaagman admits this list is a tad bit biased, but who cares? GO DETROIT!
