(WZZM) - National Food Day is being celebrated across the country on Wednesday, October 24th. Food Day is a celebration of healthy, affordable, and sustainably produced foods.
In Ottawa County, the Food Policy Council is working toward a vision of creating "well balanced meals for all of Ottawa County."
You can go to the the Food Day website to learn more. At that website, there are blogs and a list of events going on in communites around the country. The website also includes a food quiz. It allows you to see how your diet impacts your health, the environment, and animal welfare.
One event is happening at the Culinary Institute of Michigan in Muskegon from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night. The #1 in 21 event starts at 6 pm and will include a chef and a dietician showing you how to make a healthy and delicious meal.
