Free running clinic for Grand Rapids-area amputees at the Wyoming YMCA.
WYOMING, Mich (WZZM) -- A free running clinic helped acquaint area amputees with their new prosthetic legs on Thursday.
The Michigan healthcare company Wright and Filippis held the clinic at the YMCA in Wyoming.
The "Training for Life Running Clinic" was open to amputees of all ages and abilities.
"At past clinics, we've had amputees who have never attempted to run with their prosthesis, and we've also had veteran athletes who are looking to improve their skills," said Rob Tuck, Wright & Filippis regional manager.
Wright & Filippis specializes in prosthetics, orthotics, respiratory care services, and home medical equipment and supplies.
