Ann Romney rallies local Republicans

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM/AP) -- The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is touring Michigan Monday, thanking supporters and calling for an all-out effort to get voters to the polls next week.

Ann Romney appeared at the Kent Victory Center on Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Monday afternoon.  Earlier Monday, she spoke at a similar event in Traverse City.

Mrs. Romney appeared at the Grand Rapids rally with Republican Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra and state attorney general Bill Schiutte.

"People now recognize that this is the most important election of our lifetime because it is going to determine the course of this countries future," said Romney.  "We better get it right because we are running out of time."

Ann Romney, like her husband, is a Michigan native.  The couple was in Detroit Sunday night watching game four of the World Series.
