HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A man accused of tying up a teenager in his own home and robbing him is in jail Wednesday night.
Israel Pacheco-Gutierrez, 22, is charged with first degree home invasion and unlawful imprisonment.
On the morning of October 22, Ottawa County deputies believe Pacheco-Gutierrez broke into a home at Windmill Estates, implied he had a gun and tied up and blindfolded an 18-year-old resident.
Detectives say Pacheco-Gutierrez took at least $2,500 worth of televisions, electronics and games. Shortly after he left, the teen freed himself and called for help.
Tips from neighbors led detectives to Pacheco-Gutierrez and the stolen property. Detectives are trying to determine if he's responsible for similar crimes in the area.
