GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WZZM)At least one West Michigan golf course is giving thanks for the mild November weather.
When managers at Maple Hill Golf in Grandville saw the forecast earlier this week, they decided to open the green for Thanksgiving. Dozens of golfers showed up to get in one last round before the snow.
"We've played every month this year," says Jacob Northuis. "It's a bit strange because typically, ever since I was little, all I've ever seen is snow."
"It's good for business and good for people to get out before they're cooped up inside for months of cold weather," added Andy Kitchen, who works at Maple Hill Golf.
Indian Trails Golf Course in Grand Rapids also welcomed golfers Thanksgiving Day.
