Bridge Street on Grand Rapids' West Side.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - There's an effort to redevelop property on Grand Rapids' West Side.
Crain's Michigan Business reports Rockford Construction and city commissioner Walt Gutowski are working together on the Gateway Project. They plan to remodel a one-acre parcel on Bridge Street.
Current businesses on that parcel include an adult theater, and a lingerie store. Gutowski describes the Bridge Street area as a natural channel for people to travel from downtown to the West Side.
Specific plans for the re-development have not been determined.
