Festida Chips
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Festida Foods just finished its busiest month ever.
"It is our Super Bowl - as a chipmaker," said Festida's president, Kyle Curtiss.
The tortilla chip-maker employs 60 people at its plant in the Union Station industrial park alongside U.S. 131. "It starts with college bowl games - NFL bowl games and really it culminates with the Super Bowl," Curtiss told WZZM 13's Peter Ross this week.
Festida moved to Grand Rapids a few years ago after years of operation in Cedar Springs. Curtiss said he ran out of space there and needed room to grow his business. Festida makes chips for a variety of national name brands.
