WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Walmart has plans for a third superstore in Muskegon County. The company announced it intends to build a new store in Whitehall Township.
The store is planned for a 30 acre, undeveloped site at the southeast corner of Holton-Whitehall Road and U.S. 31, behind the Ramada Inn.
With Whitehall Township's approval, the company would invest $14 million at the site. The store could add 300 jobs to the community.
