WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - There is encouraging news about a teenager who was critically injured last month trying to board his school bus.
Jovany Viveros, 15, was walking on 8th Avenue in Wright Township on April 25 when a driver ignored the bus's flashing red lights and hit him.
WZZM 13 has learned that his condition has been upgraded to fair. He's being treated at DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Investigators say the 79-year-old driver could still face charges in connection to the crash.
