Police are looking for Tobias Bowers, suspected hit and run driver.
BARRY COUNTY, Michigan (WZZM) - Tobias John Bowers, the man responsible for a deadly hit-and-run crash in Barry County, was found at his Hope Township residence Monday morning by troopers from the Michigan State Police Wayland Post.
He was taken into custody without incident. His 1991 Dodge Dakota truck was found late this afternoon.
Troopers say Bowers' pick-up truck was backing out of a driveway and hit motorcyclists William Madden, a 46-year-old man from Hastings. Police say Bowers then fled the scene. Madden died in the accident.
It happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, near the intersection of M-43 and Cloverdale Road. That's about 12 miles southwest of Hastings in Hope Township.
