BALDWIN, Mich. (WZZM) - Fire dangers are rising with our hot and dry spell. Complicating the issue is that 25 U.S. Forest Service employees from the Baldwin, Michigan ranger station are out fighting wildfires in the U.S. west.
Rangers in Michigan tell WZZM 13's Jon Mills that during the last couple of weeks of summer everyone should use extra caution with their campfires. Don't leave them unattended and make sure they are completely out if you leave them. Also the forest service is no longer issuing burn permits because it is just too dangerous.
