MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Two Muskegon-area women now know their punishment for falsely collecting funds for Jessica Heeringa's son.
Joann Vaughan and Susan Adams were charged with larceny under false pretenses under $200. Vaughn will spend 45 days in jail. Adams will spend 93 days in jail.
Both women were arrested in May after approaching shoppers in Roosevelt Park and Norton Shores asking for money.
The two told shoppers the money would be used to send the missing mother's son to Chucky Cheese for food and games.
