GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - One teenage boy is dead after a drive-by shooting on Grand Rapids' southwest side early Saturday morning. The shooting happened on Coate Ct. near Grandville Avenue.
Police say the 16-year-old was standing on the sidewalk when a dark-colored sedan carrying at least 3 male suspects drove by and shots were fired.
When crews arrived on scene, the boy was unresponsive and taken to Spectrum Butterworth where he later died.
Investigators say they are looking for a dark colored 4-door car, possibly a late 80's or early 90's Chevrolet, as well as the suspects inside of it.
The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of the boy's family.
