MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM)-Bike Time in Muskegon finished weeks ago, but an event on the other side of Lake Michigan is bringing Harley-Davidson riders to the lakeshore this weekend.
The riders are using the Lake Express ferry to get to Wisconsin for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company's 110th anniversary celebration. The events include bike shows, factory tours and concerts.
The first of three daily crossings on the Lake Express Thursday had 120 Harleys and their riders. Those who traveled hundreds of miles, fighting traffic jams, say now they're ready to relax and finish the trip.
"It is good to celebrate and party. Harley is an American bike, and that is why I enjoy riding them," said Wayne Wegner of Detroit.
Harley-Davidson events in Milwaukee finish Sunday night, which means the Lake Express ferry will bring full boats back to Muskegon on Labor Day.
