MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office says more time is needed before an inmate at the county jail can be charged with an attack that injured two deputies.
The Muskegon County Sheriff says Terry Raap, 26, attacked the deputies Thursday afternoon with a sock full of concrete and weapons made out of Plexiglass.
One of the officers needed stitches but both will recover.
Raap, a habitual offender, has already served time for criminal sexual conduct and resisting arrest. This time, he was in jail waiting to go on trial for running a meth lab.
Charges against Raap are expected next week. He has been transferred to the state penitentiary in Jackson where he will wait in maximum security for his trial in Muskegon.
