GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The Grand Rapids Police are releasing the name of the man who was found deceased in the Grand River on Monday September 9, 2013.
He is 53 year old David Slaughter.
The Kent County Medical Examiner says his death was caused by drowning and acute ethanol intoxication. his blood alcohol level was .520, more than five times the legal limit for driving.
On Monday, police said the man was likely staying at a nearby homeless camp.
