GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- The newest versions of the iPhone 5 hit shelves Friday, and apple fans across the country made sure they were there for the release.
In West Michigan, Apple customers were invited to line-up outside the Woodland Mall starting at 6 a.m., but some chose to camp out starting Thursday evening.
The new 5S and 5C come in new colors, but it's what's beneath the surface that has Apple fans talking.
5C is available in green, blue, yellow, pink, and white and features an A6 chip, ultra fast LTE wireless, and an 8MP iSight camera.
The 5S features an A7 chip, Tough ID fingerprint identity sensor, ultrafast LTE wireless, and an iSight camera with a larger 8MP sensor. It's available in space grey, white, and gold. There is already a short supply of the gold option.
