GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A man was taken to the hospital Friday after he was bitten by two pit bulls Friday afternoon. The attack happened at the intersection of 7th Street and McReynolds NW.
A family that had just moved into the area says they put their two pit bulls in the fenced back yard. There was a hole in the fence, and family members had made attempts to board up the hole. However, the dogs got through the hole and attacked a couple walking by.
The dogs bit the man's lower legs. He is expected to recover.
Animal Control officers took the dogs. The dogs' owners were issued a citation and will have to appear in court in order to get their dogs back.
