BOULDER, CO. (WZZM) -- WZZM 13's parent company, Gannett, has a station in Denver, KUSA. The station needed help from other Gannett stations to cover major flooding around the area.
WZZM 13's Alex Shabad was one of the reporters sent to Colorado to cover the flooding. He spoke to a couple in Boulder, who decided to have a wedding in the middle of a flood zone, after having to cancel their original plans.
Alex also traveled two and a half hours to Julesburg, Nebraska to find out how far the flooding was spreading. Then, he stopped Sterling, which is another city that was hit hard by the flooding and was expecting a second surge of water.
