VERGENNES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Federal Aviation Administration will take over the investigation into a plane crash at the Lowell City Airport.
It happened around 6:40 p.m. Monday at the airport on Lincoln Lake Ave. SE in Vergennes Township.
According to Kent County deputies, the two-passenger plane damaged its landing gear after it had a rough landing. The plane crashed on the grass runway.
The pilot, a 51-year-old Lowell man, was the only person on board, and he did not suffer any injuries.
