MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Muskegon Heights Schools is getting a new emergency manager and he happens to be the current emergency manager's brother.
Gregory Weatherspoon was in Muskegon County Wednesday to meet with education leaders at the MAISD. His older brother, Doctor Don Weatherspoon is leaving to take a similar position with the Pontiac Schools.

Gregory Weatherspoon will also serve as Emergency Financial Manager for Highland Park Schools. He has more than 40 years of education experience and was nominated for the position by a third party.
"It is going to be hard to keep me from thinking about them kids. That is me all over again. So they have to have a start, an opportunity, and somebody has got to care," said Gregory Weatherspoon.
Thursday, Weatherspoon will spend his first day at the Muskegon Heights Public School Academy getting to know teachers and students.
