GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The Grand Rapids Art Museum gave a sneak peak Thursday at their fall exhibit opening in less than two weeks.
Masterpieces of American Landscape Painting comes from The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The collection includes plenty of big names throughout history including Georgia O'Keeffe, Winslow Homer, and Thomas Cole.
The museum says each of the pieces displayed uses landscape imagery to celebrate the beauty of nature in the American experience.
"Certainly in Michigan we love our landscapes, they mean something to us. So this tells the story of the different ways American artists depicted landscapes," explained GRAM Director Dana Friis-Hansen.
All 48 paintings will be on display at the GRAM from October 20 until January 12, 2014.
