Sappi Fine Paper in Muskegon.
MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - The Old Sappi Power House in Muskegon will be demolished on October 27th. City leaders say it will happen between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.
The ten story power plant building will be brought down with multiple explosive charges. People living within in 500 feet of the plant are asked to evacuate during that time.
Portions of Lakeshore Drive and three other roads close to the plant will be closed too.
The Muskegon mill is owned by Melching... A Michigan based demolition company.
