Katina Clausen's husband is lacing back up to revive a passion he put on hold. "He's run marathons before but this is the first one in several years so we're really excited."
For Brian Thompson, this race is a lifestyle change. His chiropractor encouraged him to race, and even gave him a training outline.
"There was a ton of positive energy whenever someone was yelling they were yelling something positive so it just kinda kept you going"
For Kelsey Ingersoll and her life-long friend, their race day was almost cut short by a 'nine month medical condition.'
"We've done the last several marathons together, but I recently became pregnant so we decided that we'd do the half marathon together instead. Which is fine by me."
