GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office filed a motion to temporarily dismiss charges against 27 people arrested in a marijuana bust last week.
The motion was filed Monday in federal court. It says more than 50 law enforcement reports are expected in the case and that there are more than 1,000 electronic communications to go through. Therefore, the government cannot guarantee it will be ready to bring the case forward in the required 30 days.

Last week, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies executed 28 search warrants and arrested 27 people related to marijuana sales. The center of the investigation appears to be a group called the Medical Marijuana Team.
The U.S. Attorney's office says the charges could be filed again at a later date.
