LUDINGTON, Mich. (WZZM) -- The trial for the teenager accused of killing Michigan State Police trooper Paul Butterfield will start in February.
Eric Knysz, 19, is charged with shooting Trooper Butterfield in September during a traffic stop in Mason County. Eric faces five charges there, while his wife Sarah is charged with one count of 'unlawful driving away in a motor vehicle.
According to our Partners the Ludington Daily news, prosecutors offered no deal saying Knysz could only plead unconditionally to the charges.
If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
