Davenport University - Friday
CALEDONIA, Mich. (WZZM) - What would happen if a gunman opened fire at a college here in West Michigan?
It's a scenario police hope they never have to face, but they're training in case it does. Friday the Kent County Sheriff's Department held an "active shooter" simulation on the campus of Davenport University. The drill involved faculty members and students, some acting as victims.
Davenport University has held similar training simulations this year at its campuses in Battle Creek and near Detroit.
Muskegon County held an active shooter drill earlier this month. Click here to see that story - http://muskegon.wzzm13.com/news/news/176053-students-join-mass-shooting-exercise
