GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- There's still time to pick up a costume for your kids if you haven't done it already.
At Jack-O-Lantern on Plainfield Avenue, the most popular costume this year is a zombie. That includes all of the makeup and latex pieces that go into creating the undead.
For boys, other popular costumes include the grim reaper and the ninja. Girls seem to really like dressing up like vampires and of course Disney princesses like Cinderella.
Woodside says one of the more unusual requests she had this year was from a woman who wanted to dress up like an over the hill Hooters waitress.
Meanwhile, your child's costume is worth more than free candy in your neighborhood. Several restaurants are offering specials to people who dine while dressed up.
Stop by Krispy Kreme in costume and get a free doughnut and you could also win a Bob Evans gift card if you post a picture of your child in costume at the restaurant.
And IHOP is offering kids 12 and under a free scary face pancake on Halloween.
