MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks kept their season alive with a 5-1 win over Cedar Rapids in Game 3 of their USHL second round playoff series.
The Lumberjacks scored five unanswered goals after forward Mike Moran dropped the RoughRiders' Tanner Pond with a right hand in a second period fight.
After Pond left the ice with a bloody nose, the Lumberjacks tied the game at 1-1 less than five minutes later when Jordan Masters chipped in a backhand goal.
Muskegon's Ryan Misiak added the game-winner 2:30 later with a backhanded tally to make it 2-1.
Game 4 of the best-of-five series is Monday night at Muskegon's L.C. Walker Arena. Cedar Rapids leads the series 2-1.
