Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Friday
each of their coaches will return for the 2012 season.
First-year manager Don Mattingly guided the Dodgers to an 82-79 record this
past season, and is set to have the same staff next year.
Rejoining Mattingly will be hitting coach Dave Hansen, bench coach Trey
Hillman, pitching coach Rick Honeycutt, bullpen coach Ken Howell, first base
coach Davey Lopes, third base coach Tim Wallach and coach Manny Mota.
"I'm very excited that the entire coaching staff will return next season,"
said Mattingly. "These guys do a great job with teaching and development while
creating an atmosphere that gives our players a chance to play the type of
baseball we feel we can get us back to the playoffs and an opportunity to win
a world championship."
Mota will be entering his 33rd season with the Dodgers, while Honeycutt will
return for his seventh season and Howell will be in his fifth year with the
team. Hansen, Hillman, Lopes and Wallach will enter their second season with
LA.
