Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Martin Erat joined Ryan Ellis with a goal and an
assist, as the visiting Nashville Predators beat the Colorado Avalanche, 4-1,
in the opener of a home-and-home series Tuesday night at the Pepsi Center.
Nick Spaling and Patric Hornqvist also tallied for Nashville, which raced out
to a 3-0 lead in the game's first 15:05. Pekka Rinne made 32 saves for the
Predators, who won their sixth in a row over the Avalanche. They are 5-1-0 in
their last six games overall.
Semyon Varlamov allowed four goals on 26 shots for Colorado, which has dropped
two straight on the heels of a four-game winning streak.
