Flowery Branch, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith
announced on Tuesday that linebacker Lofa Tatupu will miss the 2012 season
with a pectoral injury.
"As you know, Lofa suffered a pectoral injury last week," Smith said. "After
further testing, it was determined that he would require a procedure to repair
the injury and unfortunately he will miss the entire season."
The Falcons signed Tatupu in March. The former Seahawk did not play last
season due to injury problems.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Tatupu helped Seattle reach the Super Bowl in
2005.
