Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have agreed
to terms with catcher Chris Iannetta on a three-year contract.
The deal will keep Iannetta with the Halos through the 2015 season.
In 2012, his first season with the Angels, Iannetta batted .240 with nine home
runs and 26 RBI in 79 games. He missed 67 games after sustaining a fractured
right wrist on May 2 when he was hit by a pitch.
The 29-year-old veteran is a career .236 hitter with 72 home runs, 262 runs
batted in and a .354 on-base percentage in 537 big league games with the
Angels and Rockies. He was acquired from Colorado in exchange for pitcher
Tyler Chatwood last offseason.
