EAST LANSING, MICH. - Set your alarms: Michigan vs. Michigan State is going to be an early one.
The annual football rivalry showdown will kick off at noon on Oct. 29. It will be broadcast on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
The fourth-ranked Wolverines enter this week’s home game against Illinois at 3-0 in the Big Ten East Division, tied with No. 2 Ohio State, and 6-0 overall. U-M had a bye last week.
The Spartans are mired in a four-game losing streak and 2-4 overall, 0-3 in the conference heading into Maryland on Saturday. They lost 54-40 at home to Northwestern on Saturday.
The kickoff announcement comes on the one-year anniversary of MSU’s shocking 27-23 victory over U-M in Ann Arbor, when Jalen Watts-Jackson returned the fumbled punt by U-M's Blake O'Neill for a touchdown.
