Eagles clamp down on Big Reds, 64-26

GRC held Muskegon to single digits in every quarter as the Eagles go on to win by almost 40.

Grand Rapids Christian held the previously undefeated Muskegon Big Reds to 16 percent shooting from the floor on the way to a 64-26 blowout win.

JB Beck II led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points and pulling down 8 rebounds. Xavier Tillman had a huge night with 13 points, 21 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks. Thad Shymanski was efficient from the floor, scoring 11 points, while Tre Vallar chipped in with 8. 

The Eagles opened the game on a 15-4 run and led 25-13 at the half. The Eagles outscored the Big Reds 18-7 in the 3rd quarter to take control of the game. Markell Jackson led Muskegon with 10 points

Grand Rapids Christian will face West Ottawa Wednesday night at Grand Haven high school at 7 pm.
